Pizza Bété
Pizza Bété isn’t just about pizza, it’s about people. Founded in Hungary in 2021, this mobile pizza oven brings friends and strangers together through good food and good humour. Its playful name reflects its mission: to spread warmth, laughter, and connection wherever the oven rolls. Each slice is a shared moment: a taste of friendship.

Background
Pizza BÉTÉ is a mobile pizza bakery founded by a group of friends in Hungary in 2021. Its name—a playful twist on the Hungarian “BT.” (short for partnership)—captures the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration that defines the brand. Beyond serving Neapolitan-style pizza, the project celebrates community, creativity and shared experience. The challenge was to develop a visual identity that distinguishes the brand from conventional pizzerias while staying true to its collective, DIY ethos. The system needed to work across diverse formats (from event posters and packaging to merchandise and social media) allowing the in-house team to build on it independently over time.
Outcome
The identity draws from the informal visual culture of socialist-era Hungary, where humour and human warmth coexisted with functional design. Hand-drawn illustrations and playful, slightly offbeat typography evoke a familiar yet distinctively modern character, balancing friendliness with confident structure. The visual language is intentionally flexible (adaptable to T-shirts, stickers, menus, or festival setups) while maintaining a consistent tone of joy and inclusivity. Rooted in local nostalgia yet resonating internationally, the result is a brand that embodies friendship as both concept and experience: honest, imperfect, and full of life.
